Ron Morgner is Facility Operations Manager for Versa. Ron joined Versa in 2000 as Manufacturing Manager with responsibility for Assembly, Machine Shop, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Facilities Maintenance. In 2015, he semi-retired and now serves in his present capacity, with responsibility for safe and reliable building and equipment operations, while improving efficiency and lowering operating costs. While at Versa, he installed electrical backup generation to ensure uninterrupted power for maintaining critical building functions. He also installed solar panels to offset 25% of electrical power used at Versa.
Prior to Versa, he worked for Coining Technologies as Process Engineering Manager with responsibility for the growth of Manufacturing Operations and Tool Room via acquisitions, equipment upgrades, and process improvements.
In 2006 and again in 2009, Ron received the U.S. Department of Energy Reduction Champion Awards. He continues to be interested in the latest technologies and innovations.
Ron attended Newark College of Engineering, for Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at night while serving as a machinist apprentice at Balo Precision Parts Company during the day.
He spends his leisure time in the shore community of Long Beach Island, New Jersey, where he enjoys boating and biking.
