PRODUCT CERTIFICATION ENGINEER

Join our exceptional Engineering team as an Product Certification Engineer and work closely with our team, participate in our growth as an organization and continually learn and grow personally and professionally.
The Product Certification Engineer is responsible for reviewing and interpreting regulatory compliance specifications and requirements as well as ensuring that all products conform to applicable safety, quality, and performance standards.
Responsibilities
•Taking the lead in design, analysis, testing and safety agency approvals of complex electro-magnetic and mechanical assemblies.
•Working on product development and collaborating with internal as well as outside sources in order to see parts through to manufacture.
•Initiate R&D activities developing new products as well as improvements in current products. Creating test plans for qualifications and acceptance testing.
•Preparing and/or checking engineering documents such as but not limited to 3D models; 2D detailed drawings; lab reports; etc.
•Working with suppliers to address any issues and/or reviewing new products. Also, reviewing, and approving product samples supplied to Engineering.
•Assisting assembly department with technical production issues.
•Utilizing Engineering simulation programs to facilitate design.
•As needed prepare prototype assemblies and perform tests.
•Accompanying sales members visiting customers for new applications and/or addressing field issues.
•Familiar and capable of preparing FMEDA reports associated with Functional Safety directive(s).
•Participating in activities related to ISO documentations such as FMEA, SWOT, etc.
•Product certification and compliance with global regulatory standards.
•Staying current with relevant Global product standards and directives to maintain certificates up to date.
•Hosting regulatory agency audits.
•Maintaining certificates to the latest respective standards.
•Performing internal audits related to the respective certification(s).
•This position includes all other responsibilities that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with the position or as may be assigned.
Qualifications
•Engineering Degree (Min Bachelor of Science).
•Familiar with global industry standards and regulations. Hands on experience working with the respective agencies.
•Computer skills and hands on experience with various MS applications.
•Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with CAD software.
•Ability to prepare 3D models and assemblies.
•Familiar with general drafting practices.
